In the "Introduction to Drawing" class I take a similar approach, starting with basic materials, techniques and concepts, all the while working towards finished drawings in various media. Art history is incorporated as well in the form of illustrations, videos, and personal anecdotes.

Painting at the Gatehouse, in the tranquil surroundings of the Mill of Kintail Conservation Area on the banks of the Indian River, is one you will truly enjoy!

With natural beauty surrounding you, it's easy to relax and think in a creative way. Nature has been the great inspiration to Canadian artists for hundreds of years.

As of 1930, The Mill of Kintail became the peaceful summer home of Almonte born Dr. Robert Tait McKenzie and his wife Ethel.

He was internationally recognized for his work as a physician, sculptor, teacher and writer.

According to museum records, Group of Seven artist A. Y. Jackson also visited the Mill of Kintail to paint.

Don't miss this opportunity to paint with recognized artist and teacher Blair T. Paul
Associate of the Ontario College of Art & Design and Ontario Society of Artists.

It will be an experience you will benefit from and long remember.

Please, read the review below which was kindly written by one of my recent students.

"It's Kiana from the landscape painting class last session. I thought I would let you know that I wrote a blog post about the Nepean Visual Arts Centre and my experience in the class. I mentioned you and I included a link to your website. If you're interested, you can read it here: https://kiana-stanek-art.pagecloud.com/blog/the-nepean-visual-arts-centre-is-your-one-stop-shop-for-all-things-creative. I hope you like it"!
